Aaand there goes another week! Last week flew by as a lot happened at work, but we did get out for a few fun activities.
Last weekend was the Princess show. It was Princess’s 30th birthday and so our group threw her a surprise party on Thursday. We rented out a room at Palm House in the Marina and gave her a big warm surprise. She was completely floored as she thought she was just having dinner with her family. π It was so nice to see everyone again and catch up over our eventful summers.

A few days later, it was Princess’s “real” birthday party. She joked, “I wish I knew about the surprise party so I wouldn’t have to plan my actual party.” Incidentally, the second party took place at Flores, a restaurant right next to Palm House, and it was also the same group of friends…party round two. π

We had a family styled Mexican brunch. The food was SO GOOD, probably the best Mexican food I’ve had in SF. Joe looked like a kid at Disney Land as he got so excited each time a new plate came out.

Love this group and the community we’ve built. Princess’s birthday marks the end of birthday season as all the girls’ birthdays are in the summer.

Princess gave me my birthday gift (which was 2 weeks ago) at her own birthday party…so thoughtful! Princess is basically the “glue” of our group – we all got introduced to the friend group through her. She’s always thinking of others, buying presents for everyone else and organizing events.

Outside of birthday festivities, the weekend was filled with lots of relaxing. I took a walk at the Conservatory of Flowers on Sunday, and it was in full bloom. So many colorful dahlias made a pretty sight.

Fox gloves are Joe’s favorite – I sent him this picture of this field full of them. π

Lots of quality time with Ben. He was being a bad cat this week, eating things and going places he wasn’t supposed to. It was a never-ending cycle of me building forts around the apartment, and him out-smarting me and sneaking through. Is this what having kids feels like?!

There were some cute moments too. π

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead! π
