Between Iceland and going home last week, I felt like I’d been missing out on NYC for a while – this was my first full week back and and filled with some fun shenanigans 🙂
Monday:
Typical Monday catching up on sleep, work, and studying as I knew the rest of the week would be packed with fun things!
Tuesday:
The morning started with 3 miles on the streets.
In the afternoon, I headed up to Columbia University, my alma mater, for a recruiting session for my firm! As close as Columbia is, I only find myself making my way up there for these firm events…I’m very much about about dividing life up into “chapters,” and once you say goodbye to a chapter, you fully move on and don’t look back. It did feel nice to see some familiar buildings and faces 🙂
Afterward, I headed to Phil’s rooftop in Long Island City for dinner and beers – Christine joined too. It had been FOREVER since the three of us got to hang. It’s always nonstop laughing with these two.
Just a little jealous of the view…
Wednesday
Another 3 miles to start the day, but this time on the treadmill. Just when it felt like fall was coming, Wednesday his 90 DEGREES…hellooo AC + gym.
Took a break from the office and worked from my favorite cafe. Doesn’t get much better 🙂
Later that night, I met a friend for dinner at Moti Mahal Deluxe, an Indian restaurant in midtown east. I was skeptical because I’m not the biggest fan of Indian, but I was so proven wrong. The butter chicken was to DIE for, and the garlic naan definitely hit my happy spot 🙂
Thursday
After work, I headed to East Village to try out kava tea with Christine at Kavasutra Bar. Kava is basically a plant that is suppose to relax you and have mind altering effects – we heard great thing about it and wanted to finally see what the hype was. Overall, it tasted like mud and we got a little loopy.
Then, we met up with Christine’s boyfriend and had some beers. Then headed back to her charming apartment to watch Broad City. Can’t think of a better way to spend a Thursday 🙂
Have a great weekend y’all!!
