Hello, hello! After our travels to Pittsburgh last week for a family trip, I was fortunate to have a week off. An update — I’m starting a new job on Monday! I haven’t written about what went on in my last job (I try to focus on things outside of work on the blog), but all I’ll say is I couldn’t be more excited for this new role. I think it’s an excellent fit and somewhere I can see myself long-term. I’m also incredibly relieved to be done with job-hunting as that was taking up a lot of energy over the last few months. It’s a huge relief to feel like my career life is back on track, and I can fully be present and enjoy other parts of my life again. 🙂
For my week off, I decided to stay in San Francisco and have a productive staycation. Between traveling last week and starting the new job, I wanted to get things in order and relax during my short week of freedom. My emotions were a mix of first day of school and the Sunday scaries — equally excited and nervous energy.
A lot of workouts happened last week. It was nice to get day-time spots at Soul Cycle without the huge crowds.

For a while, I’ve been wanting to try Corepower Yoga. I got their free week trial, and I absolutely loved it! I did 3 classes, and they all left me super sore. They were more fun, upbeat versions of a regular yoga class with more focus on strength which I loved. I’m looking into their membership options as I do want to continue Corepower while balancing the cost of Soul Cycle.

Another focus of last week…wedding planning! I wanted to get ahead of some items on our wedding checklist so I can fully focus on the new job over the next few weeks. It was a very productive week as I got my wedding dress, month-of coordinator, photographer, and invitations! It felt amazing to complete so many items, and seeing everything come together makes me even more excited for our big day.

I spent a day at the mall buying new work clothes and getting my eyebrows done. I wanted to look extra put together for my first day. 🙂

During my hunt for new work shoes, I realized I could revive my current pair of leather boots by polishing them. And so, I looked up instructions and bought the tools for polishing shoes — one session later, they were as good as new! The one of the left is unpolished, and the one on the right is polished — you can really see the difference. I’m proud of myself for learning a new skill and also saving some money. 🙂

While the week was mostly productive, I also had plenty of me time. Lots of Netflix and walks around the city.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have an excellent week. 🙂
Congratulations on your new job. I hope it works out really well for you.
